Our Story
How they met
Lauren and Josh first met in November 2016 at a close
friend’s cocktail birthday party in London. After one too many drinks, they danced into the evening where Josh showed Lauren some of his infamous dance moves (it’s a surprise to many that these actually worked).

First date
After a couple of weeks of talking, Lauren finally agreed to go out on a date. Josh really splashed out taking Lauren to Top Golf… On the date, Josh was a true gent, and of course, didn’t let Lauren win. However, what was clear was the competitive spirit they both shared. A few months later Josh redeemed himself when he finally asked Lauren to be his girlfriend over a steak at Gauchos.
Holidays
Lauren and Josh both have a passion for travel and seeing what the world has to offer. From relaxed beach holidays where they take full advantage of the all inclusive drinks, to intense weekend city breaks. On one unfortunate occasion, finding themselves extremely hungover from red wine walking around the Colosseum in Rome in scorching heat. But hey, it’s memories like these that last forever.

Proposal
After months of hint-dropping, the loved-up couple jetted off to the Maldives in November 2022, where Lauren had a big suspicion that Josh was going to get down on one knee. However, with the holiday coming towards an end, little did Lauren know that the weather had scuppered a number of attempts. The weather did eventually clear and Josh had arranged a spectacular candle lit fresh seafood dinner on the beach where he got down on one knee and asked Lauren to be his wife.
Baby
In July 2023 Lauren and Josh found out that they were expecting a new little addition to their family, adding to their fur baby Bentley. On the 26th March 2024, they welcomed their beautiful baby daughter Olive into the world and are settling into their new life as parents.

The venue is equidistant from both Valencia and Alicante airport. We suggest renting a car to fully explore the area, but if that is not an option, a standard taxi from the airport is approx. 80€, but discounts may be available for larger groups.
Whilst children are wonderful and we love them all, we politely ask for no children at our wedding please.
Hotel & Local Information
We will be staying at Denia Marriott La Sella Golf Resort & Spa. We are booked to stay at the resort from Monday 23rd June – Tuesday 1st July and would love for our guests to join us here, either just for the wedding dates or full duration of your stay. The hotel is generously holding a number of rooms (inclusive of breakfast), at a discounted rate, between the dates of Monday 23rd June – Tuesday 1st July. However, Spain is beautiful, and should you wish to find your own accommodation in another area you would need to organise your own transport to/from the venue. Due to the remote location of the venue, we suggest pre-bookable cars/taxis to take you to the wedding and back again.
For those who are able to travel earlier, we would love to invite you to join us for an afternoon of relaxed and informal “Welcome Drinks” at the Marriott resort on Thursday 26th June. This will be held in the poolside beach bar and carry into the evening. For anyone travelling with additional family members & children we would love for them to join this part of our celebrations. Please let us know by 31st December 2024 if you are able to attend so we can advise the hotel of numbers for the event.
THE WEDDING DAY: On Saturday 28th June we have arranged 2 separate locations for the coaches to pick up and drop off our guests. One coach will be picking up from the Denia Marriott La Sella Golf Resort & Spa and the other from the Port in Denia. We therefore kindly ask anyone who does not wish to stay at the Marriott, to look at the range of hotel options in Denia which are close to and in walking distance from the Port.
As you all know we like to party, so carriages for pick up after the wedding have been arranged for 01:00/ 01:30am. We understand this may be a bit late for some of our guests, and that’s ok! However, for those of you that won’t be dancing the night away, we recommend booking pre-bookable cars/taxis in advance to make your journey home easier (as unless booked in advance it is unlikely there will be any available on the night at that time!)
Taxi Information
There are many private taxis licensed to operate in this area. Please note however Taxis are not allowed to crossover areas, if you are in Javea you must call the Javea Taxi. If you are in Moraira you must call a Moraira Taxi. It may be possible to arrange a return trip on your way out, but you will have to ask the driver or person you speak to when you book the outgoing trip.
